COVID-19 and what Mobility Dealers are Doing About It

Let’s just say this about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) - we’re all in this together. Our job is to help make the mobility industry as good as it can be, and that has never been more apparent or more important than right now. Like so many others, BLVD.com and the credited Mobility Dealers who are listed with BLVD.com, are looking for every opportunity to keep our people healthy, to keep our customers healthy and to do our part to prevent the virus from spreading further.

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) begins to have an increased impact on our communities, we are particularly sensitive to protecting the higher risk members of our communities, who happen to be the majority of our valued customers. Because of this, we feel it is important to connect directly with you to share more about the steps that our trusted Mobility Dealers are taking across the country to help keep you, your families, and their staff healthy and safe.

Mobility Dealerships are cleaned and disinfected daily as part of their normal course of business. However, over the past few weeks, many have increased the frequency of the cleanings, as well as paying close attention to all high-traffic contact areas and taking extra care disinfecting those sensitive areas. These cleaning and disinfecting measures also include all mobility vehicles after test drives, and repairs or service being done. Most Dealers also have gloves available for use by all customers and employees.

In an effort to adhere to the recommended 6’ social distancing requirements, many mobility dealers are offering at-home test drives of any wheelchair van you may be interested in, pickup and delivery of your wheelchair accessible vehicle and wheelchair van rental, as well as pickup and drop off for service and repairs on your handicap van.

This is a rapidly-evolving situation that all of us will continue to monitor each day. On behalf of our trusted Mobility Dealers, we thank you for your support during this time and wish you continued health.

My professional background stems from non-profit marketing and fundraising for a large children’s cancer hospital. Every day I was able to make connections and relationships for kids and their families going through devastating times. From securing small donations to large corporate support, it was all about providing hope that one day doctors and researchers would find a cure. It was truly an honor to be a part of something so important.

Just this past year, I came to work alongside my family for BLVD.com, a website dedicated to offering the latest information and resources for people needing mobility products. This was a dream come true for me as I have always wanted to combine more time with my family while still helping others. Our family has been in the mobility industry for over 35 years with the goal of enhancing the quality of life for people with mobility issues. This is the spirit behind BLVD and what I am most excited about sharing in my blog.

I love meeting new people and have found that volunteering is the best way to learn more about others and myself. Coffee keeps me going as do walks my pup "Kirby" and most of all being with family and friends. I invite you to check out my blog to learn more about how "together we can move through life better!"
