Installation Instructions for Four Piece RealTile
Showers

The RealTile shower wall and base system is designed to be installed directly to the wall
studs. Therefore, if necessary, remove wallboard from your work area. |

STEP ONE
IMPORTANT! Check to see how the inside corners of your walls are constructed. In most cases, an extra stud
(Photo A ) must be installed (right corner shown) for proper mounting of the RealTile back panel. Additional stud shown here painted white for contrast |

STEP TWO:
Verify drain
placement by positioning the RealTile base in the opening.
Then, following the drain fitting manufacturers sealant recommendations,
attach the floor drain fitting to the base. ( Photo B )
Place the base with drain fitting into the opening.
Seal drain fitting to drain pipe.
Check to make sure that all sides of base are level. |

Using a 3/16" bit, pre-drill the
base mounting flange. (see left)
 Screw the flange to the wall
studs
(Photo C)
Use shims if needed to make
up any variances.
IMPORTANT!
Do not over tighten the
screws and damage the
mounting flange. |
