“We here never stop looking at new and innovative ways to make using adaptive driving equipment safer, easier and less intrusive. The improvements we have recently made to our hand controls and left foot accelerators represent a dramatic improvement over the old traditional styles. I know a little something about driving with adaptive equipment, I have been doing it for over 25 years.”

Learn MoreI contacted Spin Master to exchange a defective Zoomer Shadow Puppy toy. The customer care representative said that she could send me a replacement but they did not have the exact color of the original purchase and would send a black and white Zoomer Puppy. Before they would send a replacement however, they required a picture of the toy in a "destroyed" status; I was asked to break the tail off, cut the charging cable and email a picture. That sounded fair but when I received the replacement, I was very disappointed that it was obviously refurbished nor was it anywhere equivalent to the original item. The original item was a Shadow Zoomer (v2.0) that responded to over 20 voice commands. The replacement was the original 2013 Zoomer (v1.0) model and only responded to 10 voice commands. There were scuff marks on the replacement and it was dirty. I contacted the company again and was told that they were unable to send an equivalent item because they "did not have any more Shadow Zoomers". They said it wasn't possible for them to locate a Shadow Zoomer, could not provide a refund, could not provide a voucher to one of their distributors/resellers nor could they repair the defective Shadow Zoomer. Instead, I was offered different items (all of considerably lesser value and lesser function) instead of an exact replacement. They also offered "packages" of items to make up for the difference in the value of the original product which I declined because a sewing machine, pottery wheel, hedge hog or dinosaur is not the original item (Zoomer Shadow) that I purchased. Most important, their replacements weren't what Santa brought my daughter for Christmas. Yes, I'm writing this in February and have been chasing these folks around since after the Holidays. It is disappointing that this company feels that a refurbished, lesser valued item is an acceptable or fair solution. Shame on Spin Master for their lack of business integrity and customer support.
Last year I was driving with a spin master, and the VA said this is the best to use cause of my stroke. The only thing that I can say is that the cost was high. I'm saving up to buy one someday.
