Golden Technologies offers several different series of Lift Chairs that offer the technology and assistance you require with options of several different styles you desire.
Purchased the Relaxer PR756L because of its size and because it offered infinite positioning. The chair was purchased from PRN Medical Services in Beaumont Texas on 9/30/2016 and delivered on 10/3/2016 (they advertise same day delivery but after paying them $1,290 dollars this was the soonest they could deliver?). The chair had a creaking noise it made when reclining or lifting when delivered. The delivery driver said "they all sound that way when new because of the lift mechanisms tight contact with the wood frame and it needs to get broke in. I'm calling before the holidays because the seat on the left side of chair is falling about one inch during recline and the noise is getting louder. They finally come out on 1/3/2017. The guy looks at the chair (no tools and no parts) then says "I'll get it on the board scheduled for pick up and repair in our shop". A week goes by without any contact so I call back. Lady at PRN Medical is clueless. Not on the board or any schedule. Will check it out and call me back. The next day the guy that had come to our house calls to tell me "we have to order parts then we will schedule it for repair in our shop". The chair is finally picked up on 2/15/2017 and returned to us the next day. They replaced the scissor mechanism on the left side and the seat was not falling but the creaking noise was still there and the guy tells me " the new parts will take awhile to get broke in " (it's just like Groundhog Day). I bought the Golden chair from PRN Medical because I thought they were businesses that would stand behind what they sell and do the right thing. So far not so. By the way, the chair is rated for up to 375 lbs and my weight is 250 lbs. Also no one else has used the chair. So now it's 5/11/2017 and I just got off the phone with PRN seven months later about a chair that makes so much noise when I use it that it can be heard from anywhere in our house. THEY ARE GOING TO CALL ME BACK WHEN THEY GET ME ON THE SCHEDULE!!!!!!
Golden PR-756 (Over $2,000) delivered Oct. 2018. Welds broke at about 1 year. Entire mechanism replaced summer 2021. Had to pay 175.00 for tech to replace mech. October 2021 welds breaking again. Another 175.00 for tech. Tech is suggesting that the entire chair be replaced. It will be a real fight to get that done. Don't' buy a Golden Chair. I'm 84 with back and hip problems and the chair was comfortable but it has been out of service most of its life.
Very unhappy, with golden technologies and even georges pharmacy in batesville indiana where I purchased 2 of them, 1 year ago, nothing but trouble with them, can't use the vibrating feature on the one , real loud and I'm told nothing they can do for either one, would not recommend to anyone, poor customer service

Bought my Golden tech lift chair Oct. 24, 2017 from Dobson health care products, Meridian ms. Got out of hospital had to wait for them to come and set it after it had bought and paid for in advance. Since then till present chair has been nothing but a piece of junk. They have been out several times, always waiting on parts or short handed. Do Not Buy from Golden Tech. Or Dobson.
Very poor customer Satisfaction Where I ordered it at Adventura Sickroom Supply. Do NOT go there they were Very Rude and Treated me Very Poorly. The manager told me I was a liar, I was the Only one who complained about the chair jerking when you put the feet part down and I just seen the comment above the guy had the same issue. I contacted them within a week and told them I hated this chair it is broke and very uncomfortable. If you sit in the chair without the feet up, it tips you forward making it Very uncomfortable to just sit even. If you recline , it makes your head stay at a laying position so if your really sick and have to take a drink you have to put a pillow behind your back or you choke. the head does not come up to put you at a sitting up position. These people Refused to refund my money and take this chair back. I have had it for a couple months and am putting it in the Trash on Bulk day. They will Steal you $1,600.00 and put the finger in there while laughing at you for being a fool for buying this Hunk of JUNK!!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!! Ed was Not helpful either he was supposedly in charge at Golden Lift Company... Golden Lift You SUCK and do Not treat sick people well at all.....
October 25, 2018 We purchased a Golden Technologies lift chair from Vono Medical Supplies on 8/9/2015 for $1,149.01. The vinyl cover is clearly defective and quickly deteriorating. Do NOT purchase one. The company doesn’t care and suggested I purchase a $500 shell as though I hadn’t been ripped off enough.
I purchased a Golden lift chair approximately 2 years ago. I chose it because I was told by the sales person that Golden chairs had a lifetime warranty, were made in the USA and that Golden stood by their product. The 1st thing I noticed when I got my chair was I felt a small cardboard box left in the chair in an area where the chair would have to be taken apart to remove it. Within 3 months the pouch on the side of the chair pulled out, it had just been stapled into the side of the chair. Within 6 months I started feeling something hard in the seat of the chair in the area of my tailbone. Being concerned about skin break down in that area I called the store where I purchased the chair. They sent one of their repair men to check it out. The repair man wasn't sure if it was covered under the warranty or not but would get back to me. He suggested I purchase some memory foam on my own and stuff it into the area myself. When I heard back from him I was told it was covered under warranty but it would cost $100 for repair person to come to my home. After paying almost $1000 for the chair 6 months prior I couldn't afford the $100 so I resorted to buying the memory foam and stuffing it in the area myself. After owning the chair about a year and a half the foot rest broke. I called the store where I purchased the chair, they sent a repair man. Not only had the screws broken in the area of the foot rest, he found several screws that had broken in crucial areas of the chair. I was told by the repair man that the chair had been put together using inferior/cheap screws. Not only did he replace multiple broken cheap screws, he removed what looked like the 6 x 8 inch cardboard box that I'd felt when I first got the chair. My advice to anyone thinking of buying a Golden lift chair is DON'T.
Just like all the others who wrote reviews, I got taken for $3,343.80 for Golden Technologies Twiligt Lift Chair that I purchased from A and R Medical Supply in Albuquerque, NM. I bought it on January 9, 2019 and the next day it broke (the control box). I had to fight with A and R to get it repaired. Which they did two weeks later. Then on February 23, 2019, it broke again. Here we go again! Oh and don’t bother calling Golden Technologies, they won’t you.
THE ONLY REASON I GAVE A STAR IS BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO RATE THEM BEFORE YOU CAN WRITE A REVIEW. DO NOT BUY THIS CHAIR!!!!!!!! GOLDEN will not stand behind their own workmanship. Had my chair a little over a year and the wires for the motor were frayed and broken due to being installed in an area where they came in contact with the lift mechanism. I have to pay for someone to come out and replace them. Golden will send the part but I have no pay shipping and the service call. TOTALLY THEIR FAULT YET I HAVE TO PAY.

Purchased golden tech dreammaker from relax the back 2/2018. Squeaks going up and down, called for ideas to fix, was told the chair was already out of warranty., needed to call outside their area for billable repair, nothing they could help with. Will not purchase another Golden Tech product or anything from relax the Back.
I bought a Golden Alante Sport that quit working in the first ten days. It kept shutting off. They didn’t want to help me at all. They didn’t know what was wrong with it. They person I talked to was rude and acted like I was lying. They finally did replace it after numerous calls but the whole experience was a nightmare. I use my chair because I can’t walk so I can go without it. Would never use this company again!!!!
I purchased 2 chairs from golden tech in the past two years. They were the medium & the large PR models. They have the 500 & 700lb max weight limit. Being 400lbs I went with the medium first. Broke down 3 times in two years. Been trying for six months now to get it repaired with no luck. I purchased at Apex pharmacy in Hamden, CT. I'm on ny 3rd repair tech there. They say they'll get back to me, they don't, so when I call them I keep getting "oh, sorry, they're no longer with the company! So now since that chair died I got the large PR model Within 2 weeks there were problems with the leg rest, then it was making strange noise & a funky burning smell. I called Apex, Golden Tech., pleading for help!!! Apex FINALLY sent thwir repair tech who had absolutely NO experience!!!! He was a great guy, busted his butt etc. But I still have a brand new chair that isn't working right. Today something got crushed & smashed underneath. I believe its the control box. I've already had the dire dept. out here once to get me out of this chair because it died while I was reclined. I've been begging for Golden to send an experienced repair tech out but Apex has told me they won't ...... period. I'm disabled & home bound & have severe mobility issues and live on a measly disability check. I'm out $5,000.00 Have 2 busted chairs and I bet now they will tell me the 1st chair's qarranty just expired last month! Even though I was assured it would be fixed in August 2019 STAY AWAY FROM GOLDEN TECHNOLOGIES!!!!!
Stopped working leaving the user unable to get out of the chair. The manual is terrible, they use different words for the same thing so having found a diagram identifying "L.E.D." indicators the manual calls them lights in other places so searching for L.E.D. gives nothing. The manual refers to charging batteries but nothing on what types of batteries are suitable. The green "lights" were on the the chair wouldn't react to some buttons and eventually stopped. This is dangerous as, in my case, it can leave an ill person stuck in the chair unable to call for help. These should be banned!
I have been very unhappy with our Golden lift chair purchased on 2/14/20 at Gould’s medical in Clarksville, IN.and the very day we brought it home on a Friday we had trouble. The store was closed after we got home and on Monday. I called an explained the problem. They said they would send someone out. They did an exchanged the hand control with wrong control. And then 2nd service call ordered wiring harness and that is when we found wrong hand control. I then said I was upset. The service tech called company and they again said they would have to order parts. I WILL NOT ever recommend a Golden technology equipment at least not without this being taken care of. $1600 for a chair that will not work right from the day we brought it home.
Purchase the pub lift chair about 3 and 1/2 years ago. The fabric is a vinyl after warranty expired the back started to peel replaced at cost of $250 now the arm are doing the same thing. The vinyl is a upgrade to cloth. We had a vinyl couch for years with on problem what so ever. Don’t buy this chair. DC Fredericksburg Texas

I bought my chair from Perkins Medical in Vero Beach, fl. About 5 years ago. I’m on my 2nd remote replacement. It has lost it’s support for my back and have to use cushioning so as not to get back ache. Chair was almost $2,000 and it is a piece of junk. Wish I had read these reviews before I purchased it.
I have only had the chair for 2 days so I cannot address the other issues I've seen. My complaint is with the way the chair is programmed. It does not allow for me to sit upright with the foot portion level with the seat. My other chair allowed me to lift the foot rest so I was comfortable. The "engineers" have carried recliner too far. It only allows the user to lie in a reclined positon. I'm shocked that the brand has carried on this long.
I purchased Twilight chair for $2,966 in October, 2019. I was directed to this chair when I was ready to select a Pride because of all the features which the pride did not have. Weight limit 375 lbs., I weigh 340. After sitting for ten days, I suddenly sank and was and now sit on the chair mechanisms. I called the Southern Mobility, Raleigh NC, who essentially told me to start using pillows to accommodate my weight. He sent someone who merely took measurements. It's the biggest rip off ever. I am someone who is very meticulous when making a sizeable purchase such as this one. I feel bamboozled. I spoke with manufacturer who gave me the name of a repairer. When I spoke with this man he stated he had seen this problem before and that the seat would be removed and rebuilt. However when he arrived he changed his story and said nothing would be done, then charged me $85.00 to come and tell me that when a phone call would have been sufficient. They lie. I cannot explain all of the issues above or steps I took. Worst purchase ever. I am on a fixed income and now I have a chair which was supposed to alleviate pain, it has caused me pain! Shame on the store for not standing behind a product they sell! So much for helping the disabled. It's an awfully disappointing ☹️ chair. Would have rated it a zero.
I purchased a comforter chair with an upgraded fabric (Valor) at a sizable fee! Now the finish is flaking off leaving living huge areas where it is GONE! Contacted company and they refuse to take care of the problem! Not only does it look terrible but is unhealthy. I find this crap in my hair, my face all over my body. IT IS DISGUSTING! Like the service this company provides! Buy PRIDE like I will! Oh did I mention before this happened I bought 3 golden lift chairs! Never again!
POOR QUALITY & POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE ...if at all!! They have zero idea of what "customer satisfaction" means. We bought the PR505L 2 months ago. The chair arrived with a cracked leg which was replaced quickly when we called. However, you would not believe the run-around we received when trying to fix the crooked seat pad. A technician came to the house twice, we spoke with several customer service people and managers. Still, I sit crooked in this chair after hip replacement surgery. $ 1300 for something we could have bought at the local retailer. BUY ANOTHER BRAND!
I bought the "Perfect Sleep Chair" from ad in my Legion Magazine and figured if in Legion Magazine it was a good product. Well I have to say the chair does what I expected for my health condition. I selected "Long Lasting Duralux" material. Well long lasting it is not! At 18 months it began to peel and go on the floor, and still is at going on 3 years in October 2020, it now looks 10 years old and I have complained to the retailer, other retailers and Golden gives me runaround. Out of warranty they say and I know that, but $2,000 later at 18 months this should not happen, I finally have a local retailer trying to get me some relief and help, we will see, if Golden does not come through I will be re-writing this review.
They advertise 5 springs in the seat for durability and comfort. There are three in the seat and two in the back. The back is attached to the motor by a hollow plastic piece that has broken twice. When you receive the replacement you have to remove the flashing with a rotary tool yourself before you can use it. I have replaced the remote four times. A weld broke on the back and I had to disassemble the chair myself to get it rewelded, then the part broke. Parts are difficult to get and take weeks. The lifetime warranty is a lie. Only the wood frame is covered but you cannot get service unless you purchased the chair from a local authorized dealer. I had to get the frame repaired at my own expense.
I purchased the "Cloud 510" model which was delv.'d on 3/10/20. Immediately I noticed how uncomfortable it was, compared to the one I sat in at the store. Also noticed that the seat to floor height was different, as the one in the store, my feet barely touched the ground, however on the one that was delv'd., I could put my feet flat. - I ordered it with heat & message, which is good, however, it's like they forgot to put cushioning or padding over the coils in the seat. I immediately developed "pressure" sores on my right buttocks, due to the seat sitting higher on one side & crooked. The seat feels like you're sitting directly on the coils, & I have developed severe right hip and upper thigh pain, just from sitting & sleeping in it, as I'm completely disabled. Also, I noticed shortly after I got it that it makes a funny noise when declining and then later coming back up .... like the material is binding or something. After waiting nearly 5 months for someone to come out & look at it (& several phone calls), I finally have a "set date" for them to come out & look at it. The chair is a "torture chamber" for me & I wished I had never bought it, especially when you have to spend such a big chunk of money to purchase it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. #1 in the U.S. or world, .... they're definitely not. Stay clear of this brand and avoid all the headaches and frustrations that come with its purchase!!
After owning my GOLDEN PUB CHAIR for about 1 year, I noticed that the fabric had already begun to peel. At first, there was only minor peeling. I wasn’t too concerned for I had a lifetime warranty, therefore, I was in no rush to contact GOLDEN TECHNOLOGIES about my problem. However, the peeling continued (very bad). I contacted GOLDEN TECHNOLOGIES by telephone. Their representative had another representative to called me. I was informed by him that there is no warranty on the fabric or against peeling. However, I can make a purchase from him for $800.00, which would be of material that would not peel. ROBERT GOLDEN, CEO should see my $400.00 chair fabric and compare it to GOLDEN’s $1400.00 chair fabric. Then, if he has sincere interest in his“Valued Customers’”satisfaction, he should seek the same or similar quality fabric for his overpriced chairs. Well, I have given one star as others have done because without giving at least one star, I could not leave a review. I would have preferred to have given GOLDEN TECHNOLOGIES a negative 5.
Got the PR550 Junior Petite lift chair for my grandmother and she loves it! Her regular recliner was hurting her shoulder to pull the handle to recline and the power hand control works well. The material is very soft and the lift function helps her get in and out easily. She says this is the most comfortable chair she's ever had!
BUY A DIFF BRAND!! From the beginning, GOLDEN was terrible to deal with. We wanted to buy "Made in America." So we purchased the PR505L. It arrived with a broken leg and the entire seat mechanism was crooked. Even with covid, it took them five months and 2 work orders to replace. STILL, the seat is crooked. We bought this chair specifically for my recovery from hip surgery and it's made things worse!! Absolutely FORGET their "customer service". All they do is pass you from person to person, each one saying the issue has been resolved. THEY DO NOTHING. If you can get to management, THEY DO NOTHING but tell you the issue has been resolved. THE WORST PURCHASE & SERVICE EVER!!!!
In my opinion, the only parts that have a lifetime warranty are the lift mechanism, chair frame and recline mechanism. After three years you have to pay the labor to replace the parts. They do not have special Golden Technologies trained repair people, they just have a list of people in your area that work on lift chairs. You will pay for their service call. Golden will not pay for shipping or handling on the parts, which will have to be ordered from Golden Technologies. The scissor mechanism has broken twice over the approximately two years she has owned the chair. Each time, we paid for the service call and shipment of the parts. My Mom purchased the top of the line chair. The warranty coverage is even worse for the less expensive models. The dealer you purchased the lift chair from takes no responsibility for any problems you have with your new chair. They simply tell you to call Golden Technologies Customer Service. The cloth upholstery on my Mom’s chair is developing holes, even though my elderly Mom has only owned the chair about two years. She has been very careful with a chair. From the beginning, she put a towel over the top of the chair to keep it from getting dirty. She is now having to put towels over the arms to avoid the holes from showing. My Mom is 84. When the salesperson told her the chair had a lifetime warranty, she believed that it had a lifetime warranty. I have had to explain to her several times that the lifetime warranty does not cover everything that happens with the chair. In my opinion, this is deceptive on the part of Golden Technologies and on the part of the salesman we purchased the chair from. We paid about $1800 for this chair. It was not worth it in my opinion. This is just something to consider if you think you want to order one of this chairs. It represents my opinion only. There are about 2.5 more pages on the warranty. Received lift chair from my son on 2016. Noticed yesterday leather fabric on back rest was splitting in several places. I called there customer service, and they said normal ware and tear. 3 plus years, normal ware and tear? They would do nothing. My advice, stay away from Golden Thecnologies. They do no back up there products as the reviews show.
I am a disabled US Army veteran and got one of these chairs so I could get out of a chair without a lot of pain and trouble but after a few months it just stopped lowering the foot rest and lifting. I've tried to contact the company to find out what can be done but no response. Please don't make my mistake and get one of these chairs.
BEWARE***HORRIBLE COMPANY! DEPLORABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! The cushion in our 505L chair obviously does not fit. An easy fix anywhere else. We have had 3 service calls each of which took appx. 3 months attempting to correct this problem. Still not fixed. Mind-Blowing!!!!!!! With a 1-Year warranty, they know exactly what they're doing.... THEY STALL SERVICE CALLS UNTIL THE WARRANTY RUNS OUT!! -- DEPLORABLE!! If you look at their "Career" section on the website, they pay their employees in BBQ's & ice cream and end up with a substandard product then must give some kind of bonus to the customer service end for pushing complaints past the warranty date so there is little warranty liability on your books. We bought 2 twilight chairs. The one that was used 10 hours a day, broke the first month. It would drop about 6 inches while changing position. Larry from Mobul in Long Beach, came to the house said it was normal if no one was sitting in it. Then the back wouldn't raise. Larry came and said it was a motor and he would order one. He said he would pick up the chair in 3 days. No further dropping of the chair. At 12p on the day he was coming, I called the store to confirm. They told me that it was a problem with the remote and Larry would bring a remote. When he got here, the remote didn't help, insisted that he didn't know anything about the motor not working, before then. Since it was 12-31, he would have to wait and order a motor on 1-4. Denied ever knowing about a motor problem. We noticed the lift part was no longer working on 1-11. Called the store. Only excuse we got was that there is a pandemic going on. We did take floor samples when buying. Star rating on first page insists that we give a minimum of one star. 0 star rating.
My husband loves his lift chair. He works so hard and comes home achy and sore until he sits in his chair and can stretch out. And if he is still stiff he has no problem getting out of the chair with the lift.
My totally disabled husband and Marine Corps veteran purchased an expensive lift chair made by Golden Technologies. it is called the Sleep Comfort chair. We saw it advertised in the American Legion Magazine. it was represented to be high quality with the best and strongest covering and mechanisms. The chair has made noise from day one and we experienced problems with its lift mechanism. The brown vinyl covering has also worn off badly on the arms and leg support after a couple of years and the covering wearing off. we contacted Golden Technologies back in December 2020 requesting servicing and sent photos including chair number. On December 4, 2020 Golden Technologies by Ms Lee Ann Stanton, Lift Chair Technician, acknowledged receipt of our request for servicing but no servicing has come forth from Golden Technologies. We have been ignored. Now the lift mechanism stopped working altogether and the lift chair is useless. My totally disabled 75 year old husband desperately needs a working lift chair and cannot get by without one. We are in a pickle. We spent over $2,000 on the lift chair and definitely did not get value for the large sum of money spent. we could have bought a lift chair from Costco for a fraction of the price we paid for the Golden Technologies Sleep Comfort lift chair. we once again have asked Golden Technologies to do something to get the lift chair properly operable. this is sad that seniors with disabilities are sold such a phony bill of goods for high priced junk. It is also sad that American Legion advertises it to disabled veterans as a top of the line and high quality lift chair.
We paid a little over $3000 for my husband's Golden lift chair. In the first few months we had to 'reset' the hand control because certain functions wouldn't work correctly. Three months into ownership the hand control ceased to work completely and had to be replaced along with it's box; labor was OUR expense. My husband is dependent upon this chair and even sleeps in it at night. Thank goodness we kept his old one. I would NOT recommend a Golden Lift chair to anyone.
Fabric with a limited life time warrantee lasted less then 2 years . We didn’t want a new chair or anything major,just a yard of cloth to make a new head rest cover. We could not get anyone to help us or return a phone call. Unfortunately for Golden I am in a position to recommend chairs, so far their inaction has cost them 3 chairs, but I,m sure they don’t care
Stay away from Golden Technologies’ chairs. Paid $2,486.00 for a lift chair and it broke and have gotten nothing but the run around. They use Scooter & Wheelchair Repair for their warranty work. Wait days/weeks for any contact. Once we heard from them, had to pay up front for them to find us a technician to come look at the chair. Took us 3 months between Amazon, Senior.com, emails and calls to scooter place and then told we were 2 months out of the one year warranty. Tech came out, said the chair was not set up correctly, things broken/not working and not fixable. Get a call today we need to pay another $300 to ship parts to us. Unfortunately, we have 2 of their lift chairs and will NEVER purchase anything from GOLDEN TECHNOLOGIES ever again. Buyer beware. Terrible customer service and they don’t stand behind their products.

The middle cushion is higher than the top one and pushes up.As a result when you recline your neck falls back and you are looking at the ceiling. The seat is made of approx. 3" of urethane foam. Under the springs one of the reinforcment bars is placed directly under the tailbone. The chair comes with a warranty. I spoke to 3 people in various departments to see about ajustments. I finally received a call from a representive in the technical department. He informed me that my salesman would handle it. I called him 6 times during the week. I gave up and tried things to make it less uncomfortable: I bought seat cushions, neck pillows-nothing worked. I am 79 and needed to elevate my legs because of diabetes. I was so happy with the prospect of a new chair and now I can't look at it without being upset with the company and myself for buying something like this oneline.

Motors on lift gone out twice just as warranty runs out, first time replaced after we recieved chair, warranty run out and motor quit at same time, reccomend getting another brand
Buy anywhere except Golden . Terrible customer service! My chair has broken down twice and I haven't had it two years yet. First time it broke Golden took care of it. Second time it broke, I had to take care of the repair. All it needed was a remote control, the repairman told me it needed a motor, ripped me off for $500. When it breaks again, it will be taken to the dump. The customer service people were rude and would not talk to me. They had a guy call me and he took care of it. That's how I got ripped off. He worked for Golden as an outside contractor. I am 76 years old and live on social security. Bad company, bad people and their chairs are horrible. Paid $1878.for this chair.
As I am very comfortably sitting in my Golden Technologies chair which was purchased from Revelation Lifestyle & Mobility Center in West Pittston, PA - I would like to say I love your product and Maryrose at Revelation was awesome to work with! i would highly recommend these chairs! The control is easy and the mechanism is smooth! Thank you
Golden Technologies does NOT back up their product. I purchased the PR756-MED-DSM-UCB chair for my disabled brother from a Medical Store in BC. I have been trying to get a repair done as the massage and heat quit shortly after the first year. This chair has not been used much but someone had sat in it and tried to recline it and now it is stuck in the reclining position and the motor is gone in it. So it does not heat, does not massage, and does not recline(it is actually stuck in the reclining position). Everything this chair was supposed to do it does NOT. I have called Golden Technologies in Canada twice and called and emailed the Golden Technologies Manufacturer in the United States. You get no help. They just tell you to contact someone else by email and don't answer the phone. No one seems to know anything about how these chairs work or how to fix them when they die. VERY POOR quality and horrible customer service. They cost way to much money for the quality you get. Very cheap workmanship. I will NEVER purchase a so called Medical chair again. Golden Technologies has a very POOR /BAD reputation and unfortunately the dealers/Medical Stores supplying these chairs are also getting a very POOR/BAD reputation. Looking at all the reviews on Golden Technologies Chairs you would think they would want to fix the problems they are having. Instead they ignore the people that have purchased their product, give appalling customer service and just continue to sell parts they say will fix the problem. This company has some serious problems.
my lift chair which I purchased from spin life, has broken five times. In two years it needed a motor remote control for the motor and a complete frame. They sent me The park, but will not install it they should I could do it myself. I have MS and cannot do this, now it’s making a horrific noise from the motor.Again, they said I can turn the chair over and lubricate the frame which has already been replaced. How can someone with MS turnover A chair. I paid for an extended warranty for parts and service. Do not buy a golden chair they do not stand behind their product.
We are the second owners of a Golden lift chair. The Customer service for the Golden Lift Chair was terrible. The pin holding the actuator for the lift motion fell out which caused the actuator to move out of alignment so the actuator plastic end T-cap became cracked and unusable because it hit the metal bar on the chair. We called Golden who pushed us off onto a third party repair shop. The repair shop spent two weeks trying to get Golden to allow them to send me the plastic cap as a replacement. I was willing to purchase the cap. But Golden ended up refusing to send the replacement part and said my uncle had to by a completely new actuator for $250.00 and had to have a technician install the part at a fee. My husband ended up just making the part and fixing the chair himself. I would never recommend Golden lift chairs They do not stand behind their product.
i bought a Golden Lift Chair recliner for my 87 year old dad and he loved it. But within a year, the remote control went and i had to buy a new one. Then at the 3 year mark, the motor crapped out while my dad was in the recline position. Getting him out of the chair was not easy and it could have resulted in serious injury. Of course, then the chair was totally useless, there is no way to manually lower the chair. I called the store where i bought it and they sold to another dealer and no longer have technicians to do repairs so i was referred to Golden. I called Golden and i was told it would be 24-48 hours for someone to contact me to schedule a repair. After 3 days, i called and then was told it is 2-4 days to get a technician. If they had someone available in the area, they should be able to call and schedule a visit. This makes me believe they have no one who can fix this chair. Why would you create a product that no one can service. I am not sure i could replace the motor on my own so I fear we will need to throw this $1,600 chair out. This is incredibly disappointing that the motor failed after 3 years, it is not something you can replace on your own and they have no one who can fix it.
Only had this chair for 3 years! Twice we gad to call to have it fixed... still wobbles! Now for a month my 93 year old mother can not use it because the entire base came apart from chair!! Can't seem to get ANYONE TO COME FIX IT!!! That part is under lifetime warranty and nobody will come fix it!!!
We purchased two lift chairs in November 2016. Because of back issues we actually sleep in them rather than a flat bed. The only issue we have had was need to replace remote on one of them, The fabric has worn well.
I just can't believe how bad the product has been in the first year! The customer service women was very nice and courteous. I wish I could say nice things about the chair, but I cannot. Thanks
Buyer Beware do not buy lift chairs from Golden. We've had about 4 and the quality has gone way downhill. We had pretty good luck until we bought this 4th chair from the Cloud series. It was crooked and leaned left from the beginning. But by the time we notified the retail outlet we purchased from, they had been bought out so were no help. We then had to go the warranty route. These chairs have great warranties, right?? WRONG!! It's $175 for a tech to come out and just diagnose the issue (which took less than 15 min). Then to have them come back and fix it, ANOTHER $175. Plus $35 handling fee for the parts. We are talking almost $400 to fix a chair that was DEFECTIVE FROM THE BEGINNING!! Their great warranty that covers so much will cost us $400 on top of the $3000 we already spent on the chair. Disgraceful. Never again. Our 4 year old Golden completely fell apart, brackets breaking, screws falling out everywhere. It's why we bought another. Stay far away from these chairs.
Purchased this Golden Chair lift 2018, 18 months later I had to get another remote. November 10 called back to make another complaint the chair was stuck in a reclined position I had to climb out (praying I won’t fall) I have Cerebral Palsy and NEED this chair to move up right so I can stand up & walk with my crutches. When I did call they wanted me to press the head rest & foot rest with M button at same time to get it to reprogram after 2 phone called IT DID NOT WORK! Still covered under warranty May 2023. Waiting for them to call me back to get another replacement.
My mom had a lift chair that cost 1/3rd of the Golden Lift Chair. She had NO issues with it for 10 years! It was just ratty looking and I wanted her to have more adjustment options. We bought 2 new PR761 Chairs from CareLinc and were so excited. However, we've had trouble with reliability from the start. I was eventually given a sheet titled Remote Reset/Calibration. The second line states "As part of troubleshooting if the customer claims the lift chair is not working." "Claims????????" As is if they don't know there are faulty mechanisms in their $3000+ chairs. Both ours need to be reset several times a week! If I weren't here to assist mom she would be unable to use her expensive, supposedly high-end lift chair. Clearly these chairs are being sold with known mechanical issues to people who already have physical difficulties and likely with disabilities! I'm so disappointed in manufacturers who build products that are soooo much more expensive with clear quality control oversight than there used to be. Their bottom line is the only real concern!!!
This piece of crap quit working when it was less than 2 years old. Rotten warranty doesn't pay for labor. Golden customer service stinks. Way too expensive for bad chair and bad service!!! DON'T BUY ONE!!!
Spinlife sales: Try before you buy! My second GT chair. 1st isle 11 years and seat worn out. Daughter using with a cushion. I should have done that. PR531/535 model. Shrinkflation has now invaded GT. Little smaller all over except back. When reclined now need pillow as lumbar cushion is thicker than neck. Seat has coils which was big mistake as have hole in left back seat. Arm covers so small won’t stay on. Overall quality not worth money. Poor customer service! Don’t buy it! Quite a disappointment! Oh and no returns!
Purchased a Golden Pub Chair in 2019. The vinyl ispealing from the backing fabric in large areas and the chair looks terrible. My wife, who yses tha chair is physically disables and only wears cotton slacks. That should be the most non-destructive possible fabric yet the chair vinyl fabric is deteriorating quickly. I have a slightly newer chair by golden that is not exhibiting that issue.
